Yes, we provide life jackets for all of our kayak rentals at no additional charge.
We do not sell fishing licenses. You can purchase one by visiting the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries.
Yes, you will find the basics for cooking and making coffee. Our RV’s are privately owned, so the contents will vary. If you’re planning to cook something special, call or send an email and we can check to see if the item is available.
Campfires are allowed, provided you have a fire proof container for burning a fire or a fire pit. There is no firewood available so you will need to bring your own.
Fish are caught year round in Pointe Aux Chenes.

We are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our bait shop hours are Monday through Sunday from 5:30 am until 5:00 pm and is closed every Tuesday. If you arrive before or after our hours of operation, an honor box is on site to pay for launch fees, ice and bait.
Kayak rentals are available from 5:30 am until 5:00 pm.
While we do sell a limited supply of rods and reels, we recommend you bring your own. Usually a 7′ light/medium rod with 30 lb line is used.
Yes, we have a bathroom with a shower available for our guests.
If you rent the houseboat, you can fish off the back deck 24 hours a day. If you’re a guest here, fishing off the bank is available.
Yes, we do sell fuel. Drive your boat right up to our gas tank and we’ll fill you up.
During the bait shop operating hours, someone will be there to give you a helping hand if it’s needed.
